Coles Garden was founded in 2001 by Allen & Susan Coles. The Coles built their garden on 13 acres across from the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum. They brought in monumental sculptures by American artists and antiquities from around the world to display for their friends and neighbors.
As the garden grew, people came from near and far to tour the property. In response, the Coles added floral garden areas and an indoor chapel to host weddings, receptions and events. The Coles hosted events until Allen Coles’ death in 2006.
Present owner, Jenny Dotter, purchased Coles Garden in 2010. Jenny was originally drawn to Coles Garden as a potential new office space for her growing insurance business. However, it did not take her long to realize that this locale was much more than a sparkling new office building! Coles Garden has an undeniable charm that was meant to be shared. Jenny recognized this, revamped the property and reopened the doors.
The original gates from Napoleon Bonaparte’s chateau outside of Paris still remain in the gardens. The old-fashioned glamour of the garden venue along with the modern touches of the new owner, make Coles Garden a rare and remarkable OKC venue!
